Deacon Luis Royo

Dcn. Luis Royo joined the St. Thomas More staff in October of 2009. Dcn. Luis was born in Colombia, SA where he studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at St. Bonaventure University at Bogota, Colombia. He married Alexandra Romero and they have two children: Luis Alejandro and Angela Sofia. Back in Colombia he taught Philosophy at both high school and college levels. He and his family moved to America in 2008 and he joined the St. Thomas More staff in October of 2009 as Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries. Deacon Luis was ordained a Permanent Deacon on June 29, 2013. He has served St. Thomas More parish since then by teaching adult faith formation courses in Spanish, leading retreats, Marriage Preparation, couples counseling, hospital visits, quinceañeras (Hispanic sweet fifteen) blessings, wake and interment services, Baptism preparation and celebrations in Spanish.
