Deacon Stephen Yates

Deacon Stephen Yates has been serving the STM community since May 2012. He was ordained a permanent deacon on May 22, 2004 in the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio. At STM, Deacon Stephen is involved in the ministry for Catholics returning back to active participation in the Church, Adult Faith Formation, weddings, RCIA, and cemetery services. Deacon Stephen was married to Adrienne in 1987 and they have three children, Alex, Colleen, and Megan. He has lived in New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, and Ohio. Deacon Stephen works in Raleigh at a biopharmaceutical company as a Clinical Program Director focusing on the development of new medicines to treat neurological diseases. He has worked in neuroscience his entire career and has a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology .
