Protocol for Electric Vehicle Charger at St. Thomas More
As part of the solar array installation project at the St. Thomas More School Gymnasiums in 2021, we included an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger to further our efforts for Care for Creation.
The EV charger at St. Thomas More is a RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) card controlled charger. Patrons wanting to charge their cars need to have a RFID card supplied by the parish administration. There is a $20 charge for the card to help defray its cost. There is no charge/cost/fee for the use of the charger.
Users need to be registered parishioners, parish staff, or school faculty, staff, or parents. Consideration may be given to other members of the community. The parish office will keep a registry of users and assigned cards and reserves the right to cancel or request back any RFID card at any time.
Users of the charging station hereby waive any and all damages or liability which may be caused by the use of the charging station. Use of the charging station is contingent upon agreement to these terms, and as amended from time to time.
The process to use the charger is to tap the card in the front of the charger over the image of the RFID card and then start charging (click here to download PDF).
To register and apply for a RFID card, please contact Carlos Lima at the parish office (phone: 919-942-6232).
