“Confirmation is a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit like that of Pentecost. This outpouring impresses upon the soul an indelible character and produces a growth in the grace of Baptism. It roots us more deeply in divine kinship, binds us more firmly to Christ and to the Church, and reinvigorates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our soul” (268).
For youth in grades 9-11, the two-year preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is done through the Youth Ministry Confirmation program and typically begins in the fall of a student's 9th grade year. Youth Ministry Confirmation preparation takes place on Sunday evenings at St. Thomas More. For more information contact Emily Kremer at 919-942-6238.
